Working principle of 500X pressure relief valve

The 500X pressure relief valve is an automatic valve used in the system's wiring and equipment to prevent excessive pressure. When the system pressure exceeds the previously set value, the valve disc lifts off its seat due to the force of the valve spring, allowing some system fluid medium to flow out through the valve outlet until the system pressure drops just below the valve's relief set point pressure. Spring and then re seat the valve. When the set pressure of the 500X pressure relief valve is exceeded, the relief valve becomes a path with low resistance and is forcibly opened as a valve, and a part of the fluid is released through the auxiliary route.

Utilize pilot valve 12 to sense the upstream pressure of the main valve
1、 When the pressure relief valve is adjusted to a pressure holding valve: when the upstream pressure of the main valve is lower than the set value of the pilot valve 12, the pilot valve closes to increase the pressure on the surface of the main valve diaphragm, and the main valve closes or closes; When the upstream pressure of the main valve increases, the opening of the pilot valve increases, causing the pressure on the surface of the main valve diaphragm to decrease and the opening of the main valve to increase.
2、 When the pressure relief valve is adjusted to a pressure relief valve: when the upstream pressure of the main valve is lower than the set value of the pilot valve 12, the pilot valve closes, and the upstream pressure is transmitted to the upper part of the diaphragm through the needle valve, keeping the main valve closed; When the upstream pressure suddenly rises above the set value of the pilot valve, the pilot valve opens and discharges the pressure water on the upper part of the diaphragm, allowing the main valve to open at a suitable speed and release a large amount of water to reduce pressure until it is below the set value of the pilot valve, and then slowly closes without generating secondary water hammer.
3、 The factory set pressure value of the pressure relief valve pilot valve is not suitable for on-site requirements. The following adjustments can be made: first loosen the locking nut under the pilot valve handwheel, then turn the pilot valve handwheel clockwise to increase pressure, and vice versa to decrease pressure. Adjust and lock the locking nut.
